Race Report:
What perfect weather Winton put on for all. After qualifying 2nd on Saturday, the start of the weekend was shaping up to look good, except for the missing 3rd gear we discovered on Friday during practice.

All 3 races on Saturday, placed me in 2nd. Without the use of 3rd gear on a track which uses it alot, I could only do my best to race between 2nd & 4th gear to at least maintain a decent point score.  By the end of the day, the gearbox was worsening.

Sunday qualifying & racing was a similiar scenario to Saturday, with no move up the ladder to 1st possible, without the use of 3rd gear. All I could do was baby the bike until the end of the day, which saw me with the eventual loss of 2nd gear as well by race 3, accompanied by the loss of a lot of oil through the rear cylinder base gasket.

Unfortunately not a very exciting race report to write, but we finished the weekend in 2nd, and are looking at repairing the bike to be back on track at the next round at Eastern creek, where hopefully we can provide some closer riding! Thanks to everyone for their support. Cheers. Chris.
